We put our tiny seeds into the ground. We watered and weeded and waited. We prayed for sun and hoped the bunnies wouldn’t find lunch. Now our patience has paid off and we are beginning to see the fruits of our labor. We have already begun to pick the early vegetables. Parsley, chives and zucchini line the table at coffee hour for the taking. While the tomatoes are still green and squash buds are yellow, we know that with a little more patience soon there will be a great harvest. If you have patience and a green thumb (or not a green thumb but some extra time) please sign up to tend the garden for a week and help to make our Gethsemane Gardens flourish!

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” -Matthew 13
